When you retract your slide does the bottom make contact before the top?
When I retract the driver's side Slide, I noticed the bottom edge of outside slide wall contacts the body first, then the top pulls in.
Is this normal? I would have thought all the outside wall edges would contact body at same time - but I've seen some YouTube videos showing the same contact behavior as mine. I don't know if this is the way it left the factory or if it is due to normal wear/sagging.
Also - When the slide is in, or out, the paint stripes/lines all line up so there is no sagging showing when fully extended or fully retracted.

That's the way mine is. The only thing pulling the slide in or out is the mechanism at bottom. The top will be slower to go in and out because of the seals. there is really nothing 'pulling/pushing' the top of the slide.

That makes sense Bill.
In my case, the difference from when the bottom is touching as the slide is pulled all the way in, to when the top just touches is probably 2 inches. Then running the slide motor for another second or two pulls the top in tight.

If you're at all squeamish, it's kinda like watching sausage being made (as they say). Watching the slide-movement is not for the faint-of heart.
My big raised-floor would lag at the roof coming in until it reached a balance point, and then it would seemingly topple inward and start to lead. Going out was even more exciting the way it wobbled - I always expected to hear a big 'BANG-CRUNCH' and watch it all drop out on the ground.

Sorry, Bill. I think we're all in this together, in so many ways.
