Where is plug-in for ScangaugeD?

I bought a ScanGaugeD to have more accurate info about the Windsor. One of the selling points is how easy it is to install - just plug it in. I would love to do that, but have been unable to find the data plug-in. I have the panel off of the driver's side console and have looked in all that bunch of wires, but have not found it.

Has anybody else put one in a 2002 Windsor PST so you could tell me where it might be?

Don't know if it is the same but the connector for my Silverleaf system was under the dash, left hand side next to the steering column. Easy to access.

I looked at a Scangauge D and it looks like the same connector

Mine was under the dash on the left side of the steering column. Easy install.

like McCrob above, I also have an 02 Diplomat. I have the scan-gauge connector in the drivers side front compartment, but I also have one attached to the left side of the steering column just below the dash.

It is kind of hidden among all the wires but it can be found.

Sunbeam, I was surprised at how inaccurate my gauges were compared to the scan gauge. It doesn't have fancy graphics or a big screen but it gives you all the information you need. Take a few minutes and commit the terms for each operation to memory so you know in a flash what you are looking at. Myself I run the instant MPG and the average MPG on one side and the engine temperature and depending on if I am in a hot area pulling mountains the transmission temperature. This one I float Round depending on the conditions I am in. Really a nice information center.

Assisting a friend with his found two ports as well. However the one in the front compartment did not work properly. The device would power up for a few seconds and then go to sleep. Just something to be aware of.
