Where is the snap disc??

My wet bay and tank heat system seems to not work. 38F and the armed light does not come on, it has in the past. Where is the "snap disc" and what does it look like? also, where is the fuse for the system? Thanks in advance, TB

On my rig, the snap disc is right next to the heater, right in the wet bay. It's smaller around than a dime and about as thick as a nickle. It has two wires attached to it, hot in and hot out. If you jumper across these two wires, bypassing the snap disc, the heater should start.

Jumping across it is fun, but for real fun, take it out and put it in the freezer, with your ohm meter connected across it and showing an open circuit. While your wife growls at you for standing in front of the open freezer like an idiot, ignore her as we always do and watch the ohm meter. Once the snap disc cools to about 40*F, it closes and the ohm meter shows 0 ohms, proving that the snap disc is good. Soooo fun.

Thanks for the tips. I found it but didn't have the irritate the wife fun (darn it). I just took it off the mounting point and laid it on an ice sheet there in the wet bay. on the heater came. I guess it just has to get a bit colder than it has been in order to activate. all is good.
