MH is a 2009 Camelot 42 PDQ. We had some serious rain last week, when we got to the mh this weekend the carpet was wet in the reer passenger side(under the dresser slide). I removed drawers and all panels that I could get to with no sign of water damage. The seal on the slide appears to be tight when closed. Up on the roof and no signs off any holes or caulking leaks. I know water can enter just about any where and travel before entering the mh. Any suggestions on where to look?, has anyone had this problem? Thanks

Hi srx-6

Did you check the top of the slides as well as the sides?

We had water come in the slides when the top seal was 1" short of reaching the slide roof.

I had a similar problem and finally determined it was coming from the top of the slide. Upon inspection, I found the seal that covers the top of the slide where it connects to the side of the slide had been cut with a razor knife (thanks Monaco). The water would drip through the slide topper then run through this cut and run out the bottom corner of the rear roadside window frame. I removed the awning and used roof valley tape to cover the entire seal then went over this with white fibrous roof coating. This was on the roadside front slide. I also discovered the same thing on the top of the curbside bedroom slide and fixed that one the same way. Been in heavy rain since and had no leaks

Check the Roof Air conditioners. They have a compression gasket that is squeezed by 4 long bolts. Check you air conditioner manual for trouble shooting tips on how to tighten.

Water flows in the path of least resistance so Good luck.

Where you driving in the rain? If it is close to the rear wheels chek under the MH for a gap. I had a leaking problem on my last MH and I was looking up for the problem when it was down under in the wheel well.

Thanks GG -- I tourqed the four mounting bolts on all three ac's a couple of weeks ago and checked the foam seals this weekend, does not appear to be leaking there.

hardy1000 -- MH was closed up in a storage lot at the time.

I read a few threads back about an ac with drain lines in the aft area, I will check for plugged drain lines there. Thanks for all of the help.

On some mh if water gets in at the top of closed slide there is no where for the water to go but inside, look and see if there is a space in the gasket on the bottom of the slide at each side to let water out when closed.

I had this problem in my 05 Camelot and found a hose trapped and split under the washer/dryer. In mine this is at the rear passenger side.

SRX Check the horizontal and vertical seams along the outside of slide. If there are any slots in the clear sealant water can get in the slide... I had this problem. I have always focused on the rubber seals in the past, never thought water could enter from the outside wall.
