Hi, We own a 2000 Monaco Knight, our pride and joy. Just recently we've had a problem with the transmission, Allison MD1000.We had the RV recovered to an Allison shop who want to check the control module but we can't find it! We looked under the bed, in the front drivers side locker, removed the access panel from the side control panel without success.

Could anyone give us a clue on where to look next?

Regards
Doug

Here is a pic that shows one. Location is on the right hand wall of the Front Run Bay. You can see the module where the wire is.

Thanks for the photo but it's definitely not in that locker! Why does it have to be so hard to find these things!

Regards
Doug

My current coach has the TCM in the front run panel with all the fuses. Monaco mounted it to the "ceiling" of that compartment.
In my last two Monaco's, they were in the space below the shifter pad.

I've had the access panel under the shift lever off and couldn't find it under there. Got to be honest and say I didn't look at the ceiling of the locker though! Thanks for the suggestion, I'll drive up to the storage compound and have a look.

Regards
Doug

Hi Walt,
That's a very kind offer. Unfortunately all of the relevant documentation is onboard the RV. We're flying off for Christmas very soon so I'll have to leave it until the new year.

Regards
Doug

That's very helpful and very annoying! The Allison engineer and I must have spent 15 minutes searching the engine bay!

I really appreciate the help.

Regards
Doug

OK Doug, I called Monaco and after a 10 min wait (dont think you are going to want to call them from England ) They said to look in the rear most passenger side compartment and you should see a large ABS plastic cover with a lot of screws in it, remove the screws and the TCM is in there along with some of the other control boards. If you have any other info you need from Monaco e mail me at walt2137@yahoo.com
