Wholesale v Trade-In Wholesale?

Ok, new question no. 64,000.

The dealer pulled up a wholesale trade-in sheet from NADA on a 12 year old rv right in front of me. It is part of the site that regular buyers can't see I suppose.

So my question is, is there a difference between the wholesale trade-in value and just regular wholesale with no trade-in? I don't have a trade-in.

How do I know what the right price is for this rv?

thanks so much guys

Check with other dealers or for sale by owner ads with similar coaches, and you will now have a better idea what a used coach is worth. Sanford

If I understand what I think you're asking, wholesale trade in = wholesale. In other words, his cost.

As far as the right price….that is a complicated question. You will find the same MH goes for a broad range of prices. That price will depend on mechanical condition, location, desirability of the model and of course age. You can use NADA, Ebay, sold prices on PPLmotorhomes and asking prices. Dealers ask prices may vary $100k or more depending on the model. Determining a fair price is a challenge.

Thank you for those suggestions, I used them all and I still think I got a good price. Although I couldn't find an exact model that was sold. I did find one for sale somewhere else that was 25,000 more….
