This thread is for those visiting the Monaco Service Centers to post the dates of their visit and also at which Service Center they are at.

Scheduled arrival date and/or actual arrival and departure dates are for others to know who's there.

You can also go to this link to see the layouts of the Service Centers before you get there!

Is there anyone at either of the Indiana centers? I need someone who is there to "walk me through" the layouts so I can get them in the link. I am off "today" - Tuesday 5/13. Please PM or email me at my email listed in my "profile" with a phone number that I can reach you "today"

Thank You!

Hi Mama,
We have an appointment scheduled for Monday, June 16 at the Service Center on Diamond Hill Road. We plan to be there on or about Saturday June 14 to stay in the park at the service facility. But we don't know if there will be any vacant spaces as Ronnie has stated we have to go on the "waiting list". So now we are confused as to whether we will have FHU's or not. Perhaps you can shed some light on this Mama. Bob and Barbara Smith, Helena, MT. 2008 Monaco Camelot PDQ. Your Service Center layout has been tremendous help to us, thank you. What is the physical address on the Service Center?

We just departed Camp Monaco in Elkhart, IN.This was our second trip and we found everything unchanged from our first visit.

Those that are scheduled for service will receive a packet in the mail apx. 30 days prior to your appointment including driving directions and maps including layouts of the campground. Check-in is much less structured than Oregon. Many just drive in and camp for a day or so because thy know they can get away with it. Like Oregon there is a free laundry, 50 amp electric, water with convenient dump station. There is a hire-a-cop who patrols in a marked white sub-compact but he patrols a lot of ground and other then an occasional sweep through the campground has Little interface with the campers. The drill is to arrive, unhook and find a campsite. During service hours you check in to the newly painted and carpeted comfortable waiting area way around the corner facing Hively St. The receptionist will log you in and give you a passes to display in your toad and coach windshield. As I said earlier many stay without these passes.

A couple of hints. It always congested and confusing driving South to the Service facility through the city of Elkhart from the 80/90 Tollway running East West located on the North edge of Elkhart. It is much, much easier and less stressful to arrive from the South up CR19 from the 20 bypass that circles the city of Elkhart on the Southern fringe. No matter where you're coming from! In fact avoid taking the Tollway completely. The Tollway is not only expensive but full of chuck-holes. It's not a road it's a torture track!

When you turnoff of CR19 onto Hively your are confronted with a lot of big factory buildings. The first on the right is the new Workhorse/Roadmaster chassis plant where they build the new RoadHorse chassis(my name). They have tours daily. Just behind this building is a fenced storage yard with new chassis' awaiting shipment. Turn right and enter the narrow UNFENCED entrance to Camp Monaco-Elkhart on the far left between the first and second building. The second building is the service shop and high on the wall is a very small easy to miss sign pointing the way.

Another tip is to visit the amazing Farmer's Market all under roof just south of the service facility just off CR19. There's a lot of good tips on things to do in the area on the Newmar Owners forum as well.

We look forward to Camp Monaco and the wonderful Amish communities nearby.

Hi Mama!
We've been here at lovely 'Camp Monaco Wildwood' for about three weeks and are leaving for southern Florida today. Our experience here has been great. The techs and service have been the best we have ever had. Over forty small issues (water pump lights not working, day/night shades falling, leaky ice maker line etc) and a few major ones were repaired and explained to us in detail what was done and why. Good information! A major problem with our inverter was fixed by replacing not only it, but the transfer switch as well. Our roof AC has never gotten as cold as it should and they replaced it with the larger 15000btu unit for a very reasonable charge. Well worth it! We now have to run it on low to keep from freezing even in the Florida sun! In our 07 Trek there was a fixed inspection panel in the kitchen slide that has been changed to a cabinet in the '08 version. The carpentry department (thanks Wayne!) built us a removable storage compartment (designed better than factory) and stained to match our Newport Cherry wood interior perfectly. Testing our refrigerator showed that it wasn't reaching the right cooling temps and was pulled for inspection. There was a noticeable lack of aluminum duct tape sealing the unit, allowing warm air into places that should not have warm air. After sealing the fridge, they added a second muffin fan and another baffle to help channel hot air out easier and increase the efficiency.
The Wildwood area is situated centrally to a lot of interesting places and attractions, and there are several really good restaurants in the area. The concierge at Monaco, Vicki, can tell you more about both of them, and she gives great directions.
All in all things couldn't have been better. We even got a chance to meet Popeye before we hit the road. Ain't life Grand!

TIM...
Great informative post!! Sometimes I don't understand why people would go anyplace other than the manufacturer service center"(no matter what brand) if they are within 100 miles of it to have any work done. I am glad they handled it all for you. (Isn't it amazing how well the guys in the "woodworking" dept can match the cabinets!)
Glad to hear all things were taken care of!

We will be at the Diamond Hill facility the week of July 7. We hope to get our rear camera problems taken care of. We will also be at Deer Wood RV Park during the July 4th weekend.

Wildwood. Appointment Wednesday, May 28th. Leaving Atlanta today. Will find a place to get off the road relax and stay away from holiday traffic tomorrow. All pretty much minor issues, so I'm hoping for only a day or two.

BigSkyBob...
I will be heading up to Camp Monaco-Harrisburg tomorrow. I will see what I can find out for you then. (I think that Happycarz friend will be there at the same time. )

psc907...
Paul, I am looking forward to meeting you & Susan. We will do dinner one of the evenings while you are at Deerwood!

Neptunes...you will have to search out and find Popeye while you are at Wildwood. Popeye...you will need to watch for Neptunes so you can give him the lowdown at Wildwood.

Mama,
Dinner sounds great! We are also looking forward to meeting you. We will be in OR for 4-5 months. A month on the coast, 2 weeks in the Eugene area, a month at Joseph, and the rest of the time to be decided.

One question about Harrisburg---Since our appointment begins on Monday July 7, would it be better to arrive there that morning or the day before(Sunday)?

Also, is there someone in the Eugene area who could give Susan some professional driving lessons?

Paul
