Popping windshield problem

I have a question about leveling. We have hydraulic leveling (3 point) on our 2004 Monaco Diplomat. We have recently discovered the windshield is pulling away in the middle from the frame. It is a two piece windshield. We are waiting on insurance to decide how much if any they will pay on this. The body shop we have it at said the middle frame needed welded because it was broken. After doing that much the windshield is still shifting when leveling. Now we are looking into it further and they think the metal brace in the front that goes horizontally needs to be fixed so there is not so much free movement that they think is causing the windshield to pop out. My husband lets all the air out of suspension, puts center jack down and then the two back jacks. I don't think we have twisted the motorhome in doing this way. Any advise you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!

I believe it was PDRJohn who responded earlier that took his coach to Iowa and had HWH add air leveling to his coach for about $5500. I'm thinking about this also.

I wouldn't think the 3 point jacks could twist the body that much. Hopefully somebody who knows more about you system will chime in. Otherwise ask in the Monaco section.

When we auto level using air or hydraulic (press which ever you chose), the system lets all the air out first. After dumping the air then it level the low side first, then which ever end is low second.

We had it added in Oct of 2013.

Here we are living at HWH

Have had both, air on my Camelot and jacks on my Travel Supreme. Much prefer the air leveling for all the reasons mentioned already. I do carry some 2 X 12" boards that I use if I am on a very uneven space and plan to stay a while. I find that if the air bags are not at maximum there is less coach movement.

And the system works so well I even hit the level button sometimes when we stop for lunch. Just nice to have a level floor.

I do this anytime I stop for more than a few minutes. I like the level floor also.

In a lunch stop, The unit levels and transitions to travel so easily and quickly that I couldn't imagine having another coach without.
