I've read that some have a frig that doesn't get cold enough, but we have just the opposite. Our's is too cold. Items on the second shelf, and sometimes the top shelf, will freeze. We have it turned down to 1 and the temp at the bottom area is 35*. We have a little fan to move the air around. It is a Norcold 1210IM, 4 door (2 separate freezer doors).
Is there something obvious going on? Does anyone know something we should check? Anyone else have a 'too cold frig'? Thanks!

Mic,
There is a sensor located on the right side of the fins, one ore two over from the right side. Try moving it down 1/4 inch and see what happens after a day. I believe up is colder and down is warmer. I read about it here on irv2 and maybe you could find it with a search.

Hi Guys,
We have the same fridge and our sensor is located on the 2nd fin from the right. The bottom of the sensor clip is 2 inches below the top of the fin. We usually run our temp at a 4 setting unless we are in and out of the fridge more than normal

Harry & Sacs, Thanks for your replies. Rick defrosted the fins and found the clip. (Thank goodness that was the only snow we've seen here in Montana!) It was a bugger to move, but he did it. We weren't certain how it was attached to the fin and didn't want to break anything, so I called a contact at Guaranty RV who transferred us to the service manager who told us to be careful of the wires, but to "move it like you own it." Rick was able to grasp it and move it down. We'll see how it changes over the next day or two.
Also, in between your two replies, Tim Cooke, the manager of Guaranty RV, sent us an email and gave us the same advice. It sure is appreciated that Guaranty RV reads iRV2 every so often, and that you guys were also there for us. Thank you guys!

So let me get this straight. If you are moving the sensor down a little to make it warmer, then if I moved mine up a little it should get colder???? Mine runs a little warm so if you folks think it might work, I'll give it a go....

Freemn2,
Let me know if that works. We have the same fridge & ours runs a tad to the warm side too. I usually have to keep it at 8 just to maintain it in the blue zone (below 40 degrees) on the thermometer.

Rick says that our sensor clip was attached at the top of the metal fin. He moved it down to about the half way mark. He changed the temp from 1 to 4 and we'll check it tomorrow to see what the internal thermometer shows. We'd gradually moved our temperature down to 1 over the past couple months and we were still freezing food on the top and second shelves of the frig. We've been plugged into electricity constantly for the past 2 months. We'll let you know if moving the clip/sensor gives us what we're hoping for.
