Purchased our 08 Endeavor 40PDQ new June 10th of this year. So far we have only take it out twice and both times my wife is having fits that the wind noise around the entry door sounds like a window partly open in a car. After the first trip I tried using weather striping around the door but that did not seem to help. Next we took it in to the dealer so I complained and they put a larger seal around the door. The wife says the noise is still bad. I have taped off the weep holes in the windows also. Being deaf as a post I don't really hear it. Has anyone else had this problem and if so were you able to fix it?

I had the same issue with out Diplomat. I tried all kinds of weather striping and nothing worked. Finally I put tape on the joint between the door frame and the fiberglass panel in the door. all wind noise stopped. I pulled the tape off and sealed the joint with clear tube and bath caulk. Been noise free for over a year.

Had the same problem. Ended up being the same fix as Gordon. Ran 2" wide electrical tape down the seam and the noise all but stopped. Took the tape off and sealed the crack with black sealer. It matches the door frame real close. Won't notice it until you look for it.
Hope it works for you.

I have the same noise. Is the seam you guys are talking about on the inside or outside of the door?
Thanks
Dennis

It's on the outside. I also sealed around the window frame.

What a difference!!! The wind noise is all but gone. I had a real big gap at the top of the door, and much smaller ones on the edges, the window seemed to be well sealed.
Thanks for the info
Dennis

I also found that HR/Monaco were installing wind deflectors on the frame of the door as a fix for this problem. I called Manaco and they referred me to PTL engineering 810-664-2310. I ordered part #007-144 a 7.5 ft "L" shaped vinyl strip with double back tape that is placed on the frame as close to the hinge as possible. $28 plus shipping.

Have not received the strip yet but the bill was here when I returned from camping with the family over Labor Day.
Wind Deflector w/tape 7 1/2 ft $28.50
Packaging Charges $27.00
Freight $19.49
Total $74.99
Don't think I would have ordered it if I had know about the packing charge. Looks like a rip off for a piece of vinyl.

Seems a tad greedy on Monaco's part, considering it's a fix for a factory defect!!

The OP did not buy that part from Monaco. He said it was PTL Engineering.

We had similar problems with our 2008 Diplomat. We did the usual things, adjusted the door, shored up the weather stripping, particularly along the top of the door and the wind noise was reduced significantly. However, we still had wind noise from crosswinds, now I don't know that this will help you but we locked the door from the inside, both locks, and the wind noise was eliminated! Go figure.
The only annoyance now is the curb side awning, the covers over the slides do not stay tight in a crosswind and rattle.
