Can anyone offer a source for a replacement wind sensor for a carefree awning on a Dynasty?

Call Girard up and they will send you the parts. Got to watch out for those trees. There are two types of wind sensors. If one type breaks you have to replace the whole unit. On the other type you can replace just the cups. It is worth updating. You should talk to them about it.

Girard used to use the same anemometer that Carefree used. If you need the complete anemometer, Girard should have one. Replaced my broken on on my 05 Camelot with one from Girard, worked great.

Located a sourse for the Girard - Carefree wind sensor. They both used the same sensor for a couple of years. Florida Automated Shade had a few of the wind sensors at the link below:

http://www.floridaautomatedshade.com/category_s/71.htm

Price is $73.50 plus shipping.

Carefree changed the wind sensor to a vibration sensor mounted on the end of the arm with the motor on it. They sell a kit for the conversion. The selling dealer paid for the kit, so I don't know what it cost. I installed it, it was pretty easy.

Hi Gil,
Do you have any contact information and part numbers regarding the vibration sensor?

Thanks

Here's where you can buy it:
Carefree Eclipse 12v Power Awning

It cost more than I thought,
