My 2005 Imperial has the optional window awnings on the two slides on the drivers side. They extend out from their mount on the slides to shade the windows. The problem is these two awnings have quit working. When the extend/retract buttons are pressed on the panel above the passenger side entrance door, nothing happens. They used to work. The switches for the passenger side awnings work fine from the same panel.

I suspect that since there are two separate switches for the awnings on the front and rear drivers side slides that there is a power problem. These were optional awnings, and I have looked at all panels and wiring diagrams and can't find where these awnings are powered/fused. Any help would be appreciated!

Check your manual and the book for the awnings carefully to see if they're interlocked. Our 04 Imp doesn't have the awnings you describe but the slides are interlocked so they won't move unless the interlocks are satisfied. They won't move if the key is on or if the bay doors under them are open. Let us know what you find.
Thanks, Ron
