Window shade problem

In our 2005 Cayman, we have a manual pull down window shades on the side windows for the driver and passenger. They pull down fine, but when you push them back up, the shade will not wind in on its own; you have to manually turn the drum with your fingers.

I don't know if they just need to re-tensioned or if the spring is bad. I would like to find instructions or a manual for the shade, but I can not fine any brand or valid numbers on it. I searched on the one number on it, but it didn't cross-reference to anything on the web.

Does anybody know the brand or have other advice on them?

Just came across your post and noticed that no one had responded. It has been a few weeks since you posted, but if you are still interested, I believe your Shades are by Carefree of Colorado. I have similar shades on my HR Scepter, and I think they are spring loaded.
