Curtained cleaned

We just cleaned our curtains. They are in three sections the longest is like twice the size of the other two. Used spray and wash on most all of them. Dark stains at the pleats. Stoked them in the bath tub warm water and oxy clean for about 5 hours. The water was really dirty. In the washing machine with oxy clean and some bleach. Did the two small ones together and the large one separately. Dryer for about 10 minutes and hung them by there hooks out side. They camout great.

The DW took ours down last year and went to the dry cleaners. Cost $75.00 and they weren't ironed! DW ironed the small section for the passenger window and quit. We hung them up but looked a little puffy with no pleats. After a year hanging they are starting to look a little better. To the credit of the dry cleaner they did get get them sparkling clean.

Also wondering why they put Scotch Guard on them. Scotch Guard is for water protection not UV protection. I treated my blinds with this UV fabric protectant after washing.

We had ours done by a dry cleaner two years ago. The drapery fabric in the front of the blackout stuff shrank, so now they are uneven, with the lining peeking out below. NOT happy... We have a 1996 Monaco Dynasty... Looks like I might have to work on them myself.
