After forty years in the glass business, I've seen issues like this in automobiles many times over the years. I doubt it's an installer issue unless a small fragment of the old windshield glass was left in the rubber gasket. More often, the windshield shape is not exactly correct. The curve could be off just enough to put stress on the glass. I would try a different brand.

If you can take it to RV Glass Solutions, they are awesome and can fix the most troublesome of problems.

Wolfy, how funny you mention fit & finish as my installer noticed glass didn't seem to fit proportionally after a thorough cleaning/scraping of the channel/groove and ended up grinding off small portions of glass on two corners. He claims it appears to have adequate clearance now and will probably complete the install today or tomorrow. Should issues continue, I will probably check out RV Glass Solutions. Thanks for the advice.
