Here is my question, we live in Ontario Canada and are going on vacation to Florida on Jan 1st. What should we do regarding winterizing the coach. Should we leave the cargo heater on and maybe an electric heater on a low setting inside the coach or fully winterize the coach. Just wondring what you would do.

Ontario gets pretty cold in January. I would definetely winterize, and if you don't use your coach before your trip to Florida do it now.

During your trip I would only dewinterize in an area such as North or South Carolina. And if you come back before April, you'll have to winterize again somewhere enroute.

Winterizing is not a big thing to do and can save you lots of troubles and lots of $$

I agree. Winterize and save some money down the line. Also NC does get below 32 degrees in Jan.

I found a great web page done my Rob Morgan that covers winterizing with great detail. I found it after I did mine and I had to go back to my coach and do more that I forgot. Winterizing
You should at least drain your water system. A ounce of cure is worth a pound of broken pipes. Don't forget the drain P traps.

Another vote for winterizing soon.

I'm assuming your MH is being stored rather than used prior to leaving for FL. Therefore, I wouldn't rely on a cargo heater or other electric heater. Reason is, as you must know living in Canada, we can never tell when or how long a power outage could hit our areas. I wouldn't want to add winterizing the MH to the list of things to do during an outage.
