Hi all,

We have never had a washer/dryer unit in a coach and was wondering best way to go about winterizing it. Also the water dispenser/ice maker in fridge, any easy ways to do that?

Thanks in advancer!

Here is a complete winterization procedure I made up using information from the owner's manual, and some other sources. I follow the procedure in the sequence listed, as it seems to be the quickest way to do it for me. Both the washer and ice maker are covered.

The owner's manual advises pumping antifreeze into the ice maker by running it through several cycles. IMHO that would be a pain, and so I "shortcut" that procedure a bit without ever having had a problem.

Robin's winterization procedure is a good one. However, if your coach has Aqua Hot, or Hydro Heat, winterizaton by draining and blowing out the lines is not adequate.

Per Monaco's Tech Tip 245: 11/02/07 - "Winterization Aqua Hot – It is recommended that you do not blow out the system using air pressure because this process can damage the coils by leaving a small amount of water at the bottom of the coil. According to the Aqua Hot manufacturer, all Aqua Hot systems must be winterized using antifreeze."
