Very nice. I caution folks about the outside corners of the trim as this can inflict some nasty gouges in you shins or ankles. The outcome looks great. Tell me how you can safely move around this in the dark.

Did you extend the slider floor under the recliners?

I will start with the last question. Yes after removing the sofa bed I added a 1/2" plywood to the original wood slide floor. Yes it is larger and I wish I would have added about 2 more inches. These recliners swivel and rock. I have them anchored down with a special clamp for that purpose. I attached an eye bolt to the inside leg extender and use a bungee strap to anchor it to the base "ring" of the recliner in order to keep the chair stationary (not rocking) when in the travel mode. I've got an idea or two in order to replace the bungee. Yes Ernie is correct you have to be careful of any SHARP corners. Thanks to Navistar there is a couple of lights on to see at night. One is the smoke alarm, and the other is the tire pressure relay unit. One has to be careful of the big step down by the closet to the main floor. I sit on the bottom of the bed and lower my feet down for my two nightly walks to the head office. Terry you are right about one could buy a house for what these things cost, and you might get some appreciation instead of guaranteed depreciation. Sorry Bowser I forgot to make comment on how the TWF (flooring) is attached. The planks are called I believe "engineer" which means they are glued and nailed. The area that Diplomat Don is commenting on where the engine "hatch" is located is made of fiberglass. In that area a piece of 1/4 inch plywood is glued to the fiberglass with liquid nails. Then the planks are glued and nailed. The rest of the floor that was carpeted is plywood so the planks were glued and nailed directly to the plywood. The hatch is held down with the original four bolts and I added a chrome "marine" door lift. I still have to find something to put into the 4 holes on the engine hatch cover. I took over a wine bottle cork, but it was a little too small in diameter. Home Depot is where I ordered the wood planking from, and I hired my friend who is from Holland to do the install. I haven't got the bill from him yet. It took 3 days to complete. The DW likes it so that makes a happy life for me. deSanford

Bruceisla I was thinking about the plywood under the recliners and it might have been 3/4s of an inch thick. Also I used a piece of 3/4" angle iron attached to the original slide and to the panel by the kitchen sink. It helped support the slide extension. On the corner toward the front of the MH I fastened a small swivel wheel. That was just in case of the weight that I thought might be on that end. As it turned out that wheel doesn't ever touch the tile floor. I used lots of liquid nails and lath screws to hold the 3/4" plywood to the plywood slide. The sofa with air mattress weighted more then the improvements so the whole project was good to go. Full was slide still works great. Levi the cat wants attention to I will sign off. deSanford
