Would you buy another Monaco/Navistar?
Just curious how many of you would consider buying another Monaco/Navistar if you were in the marked for another RV.

I bought a new diplomat in 2011 love it had a few issues but no more than any other brand. All this talk about Monaco being sold is not a issue to me most parts are generic and all mh go down in value. If you like the unit I would buy another one in a heartbeat. My two cents

Monaco does not currently offer a coach I would be interested in.

Well I did just buy one, and really happy so far.
The are talking about bringing out some high end coaches again in the near term future.

If I were to buy a new coach today.....It would be a Newmar Dutch Star or a Tiffin Alegro Bus. I think Monaco has become very overpriced, especially with them using the Navistar engine. My next coach has to have another Cummins ISL or larger.
BUT.....If I could find a 2009 Dynasty Bishop IV with a 500 ISM engine (there are a few out there), I would be Dynasty Don tomorrow.

I'd take a close look at the Tiffin.

Good question. How I feel today is probably not, but tomorrow who knows.

Used would be a 2004-06 Dynasty. If I were buying new I'd look at the AC Tradition. I've also seen an '04 Heritage I liked but didn't want to afford. Tiffins have a nice build but the wife and I haven't seen a floor plan we like. Entegra builds a nice coach, no air leveling, not even as an option.

In the unlikely event that we would shop for another coach anytime soon, we'd look at pre-bankruptcy Monaco's in the Windsor, Dynasty range. We'd also consider SOB's like we did when shopping for our current coach.
It's more a matter of features to us. Floor plan, Cummins engine, air leveling, and Aqua Hot are biggies. Fewer slides are preferred to more slides. Wheel base is important so that I can get turned around in our driveway. Little things like instrumentation make a big difference to me. I love being able to glance at the panel and see the AC and DC volts and amps, battery state of charge, and solar panel output. The Trip-Tek is a poor man's VMS-PC (SP?) but it is nice to have. Fit and finish. On and on...

The quality of my 2002 is far better than what they make today. I plan to stay with what I have especially for the price I paid back in 2003.
If something were to happen to my 2002, I would look for another exactly the same but with all of the personal modifications that I have done it will be impossible to find.

It appears that there are a few things wrong, or incomplete with that ad. Most obvious is that it says the Dynasty is on a raised rail chassis...
I'd certainly want to see the build sheet. The 15,000 pound hitch is a rare option as is the third air conditioner on a 39 footer. It could all be there or they could be just reading off the possible options list.
Certainly if true, this is one special order coach. Someone had specific requirements. Could be good.
