I thought I wanted to get an electric awning installed over my entrance door on my 2004 Diplomat. I called the factory in Elkhart and they called my back. I almost fell out of my chair. The awning was $1,095.00, 4 hrs labor @ $100.00/hr plus $200.00 in paint shop charges for a grand total of $1,695.00 plus taxes.

That sounds about right. Our coach came with the awning installed but it's price at several internet rv parts sites is $1400 which is pretty close to it's cost stated on the accesory list at delivery.

We all know that mechanics make more than nuclear physicists now...........

Sounds about the right price. No cheap way of doing it.
