I was moaning about an electrical problem a couple of weeks ago and forum members talked me through the troubleshooting (thanks Rex). I replaced the Trace Engineering RV2012GS with a Xantrex RV2012GS (supposedly an exact, plug-n-play replacement unit). However, my remote panel (an RC6) is now inoperable and Xantrex informs me I must buy an RC/GS as well as modify the wiring harness to make it work.

-point 1, I have never had the generator start feature and do not wish to install it.
-point 2, the manual that came with the new inverter specifically states that the unit is compatible with the RC6.

Has anyone here had an issue with replacing their inverter and what was the solution you found?
