You May Have a Possible Water Leak....

Early this week SAcsTC emptied the water tanks. Shortly after that I went into the coach for something and noticed a small puddle that had "blue chemicals" mixed in with the water. I got down on my hands and knees to trace where it had originated.Followed it from under the kitchen sink...I called DH out to see. He pulled of the return air vent and we started looking around. This is what we found ...


Look closely and you will see a drop of water in this closeup..


The problem is the water lines this was attached to could not go into the slideout wall far enough to allow this pipe to NOT bend.

Here is what the PVC looked like when we took it out...


And here is how SacsTC fixed it. (He still has to get C-clamps to reattach it to the slide wall)


It is working beautifully - and DH - I should NOT have doubted you!

By the way ...if you go to this post you will see when the pipe was first removed.

Anyway.. please be aware that you could have a potentially big problem...

What you cannot see in these pictures, is a sliding device that is supposed to allow the plumbing to move in and out with the curbside kitchen slide.
The device that is supposed to slide is located in the wall between the kitchen slide and the bathroon. If it binds up when the kitchen slide is moving, the result is what happened to our kitchen sink drainpipe.
There were approx. 8 other electrical lines, incoming water lines, etc all wire-tied to the flexible pvc drain line as they also have to flex and go in and out with the kitchen slide. Since the sliding device seemed to move just fine without anything tied to it, it now has only the 1.5" flexible plumbing pipe tied to it.
I think that all the other wires and water lines being tied together created a bind so that the pipe would not move in and out with the kitchen slide.

SacsTC, thanks for the "Heads_UP". My TREK has the kitchen slide, ajacent the bathroom. My slide is on the street side, but is is exactly the same as what you have, just a mirror image. I am going out and check my set up as soon as it gets warmed up a little. Thanks again for the info!
