Zerks

Good evening all,

I just had my coach serviced, is there a diagram of where all the grease fitting for a 1999 Monaco Executive are located?

Thanks,
Pat McArdle

No need for a diagram: all the moving parts on the steering on the front axle and inside on the steering wheel shaft U joints. Driveshaft U joints and one on the splines. One on each side of the drive axle on the brake S cam shaft...one shot is enough. Some Cat engines have one on the fan.

Here is a copy of the Roadmaster maintenance guide that shows all grease points and lubrication requirements.

I so all my own maintenance including greasing the chassis. This allows me to do a visual inspection also.

Wow!!! That is an impressive and complete lube guide. Not sure why you want the zerk locations if you just had your coach serviced. Maybe you just want to be sure it was serviced properly. Anyhow...I lubed my coach (2004 Windsor) using the chart on pages 30 and 31 in the manual above (included in my owners manual). Most of the zerks are visible and easy to access. The exception are zerks 4 and 5 (see page 21) on the steering column. Zerk 4 is in the interior and covered by plastic, but easy to access by removing a couple of screws holding the cover together. Zerk number 5 was really difficult to lube. On my Windsor the only access was from the bottom and I had to remove a rubber cover. Then the access to the zerk is very limited because it is at the same level as the flooring. So if I was checking to see if it was serviced properly I would check number 5 zerk. If they took time to do that zerk, then I would feel confident they did the rest.

Just greased the rear of my coach the other day.

I have two zerks on each end of the drive axle, and three on each end of the tag axle.

Good morning all,

Thanks to all of you who responded and jacwjames for the manual. dca81, yes I did have it serviced and would like to check if they did the steering column. Also, next time I will do it my self.

Thanks again and safe travels,
Pat McArdle
