The 09 Excel tour is under way, all 25 rigs are in place and we had our orientation meeting and the 1st outing at the Black Bear Jamboree that went great. Looks like we are in for a wonderful time, will keep you posted.

We all visited the Smokey Mountain's yesterday in the rain, the most exciting thing we saw was motor cycle on fire, really was burning, flames about 10 ft high, sad day for some one. Today is a free day and it stared out raining, most folks are going out to visiting the local area.

Thursday was moving day, we are in the Asheville, NC area, tried to see some of the Blue Ridge Parkway this afternoon but it was too foggy. Going to see the Baltimore Estate tomorrow morning and then on to Greensboro, NC. No rain today, it is quite cool here this evening and did not get above 70 all day.

Larry Msg passed on the Dranes.

We are in Greensboro, NC tonight, rained on us this morning but traveling went well with a few showers. The Baltimore is a wonder to see and to think it was built in the late 1800s, indoor plumbing hot and cold running water with Central heat. We took the trailers to the Baltimore it was 5 miles on the grounds to the parking lot and 7 miles out winding around at 20 to 30 mph.

We had a very nice day , no rain!! went to the Old Salem Village in the Salem /Winston area. Another different place to persevere a place in time around the late 1700's to early 1800's.

Tomorrow we move to the Williamsburg, VA, the longest move of the tour 234 miles.

They should be having better weather at Williamsburg, but rain moves in later tomorrow I believe. Which campground are you staying at in Williamsburg? David

Dan, what is the theme of your’ wagon train? Besides having fun, are you seeing the Battlefields of the Civil War or trying to sight see certain states?

It is referred to the American Heritage Tour as we will see many areas of the early years of our country.

Went to Jamestown and Yorktown today, way too much to see in one day, I think every one is dragging a little, weather was great. Off to Norfolk tomorrow.
