I am thinking about getting a Excel fifth wheel.I was thinking on getting a 30 ft RSO,because it would be easier pulling it around and setting up.The only drawback is not having a washer dryer hookup. My ? is there anyway to put a Splenid in this trailer? It looks like there is room in the bedroom after taking out that corner cabinet.....thanks Robert

Welcome to the forum Robert! We have a new L33ft RSO and it has washer/dryer closet, which we elected to put shelves for storage and not do the W/D. We've done almost 6 years of not having W/D and FTing.......we get along fine without it...but thats not your issue! You do know that PI does have floorplans in 30ft that do have a W/D closet? Just FYI. rockin'

Why not give Bryan a call at the factory and see what he can do for you?

For what it's worth, our Whirlpool stackables are in operation right now. We wouldn't be without them. To each his own.

A stackable washer and dryer was the one thing my wife insisted on if we were going to fulltime. We decided on a 35' and went with a MDT because of the 17,500 # weight but we are happy with our decision because it provided me with the capability to carry extra weight (my tools) on the truck. We love the size trailer we have and the counter space and cabinets few others have.

Robert you didn't say if this unit is new or used. As Rockin' indicated you should be able to order one preped for a washer-dryer. If it is a used unit and not prepped...it would/could be a lot of work installing the electrical, plumbing/drain systems needed. But if your handy and up for it....

But....I'm sometimes proof that anything if possible if you close one eye and swing away at it!

You can get a washer& dryer in the 33 RSO but it is not available in the 30 RSO. If you look at the 30 floorplan, the space normally configured for the WD is taken up by the fridge. We have a new 30 RSO. We almost went with the longer model to get the W/D. For what it's worth we have been fulltiming since October and haven't missed it.

Thanks for the reponces,I have been looking at some used Excels on the internet.I have a 33 Nemar KA that I bought new in 92.I have been living in this unit for a long time,I travel in my work. The reason I like the Excel is the build qualty and the WOOD frame.I will never have another aluminum frame trailer again.I dont care who builds it or how much it cost it is going to sweat if it has an aluminum frame. The temp. is never just right, too hot or too cold.Getting back to the washer/dryer,I did call the factory and the guy I talked said that it could not be done.If there is room I cant see why a w/d cant be installed.I have not physically seen a 30 RSO but it looks in the pics that there is room in the bedroom in the corner.I like the RSO because I dont want another rear kitchen.I was wanting to down size a little because I like my truck and dont want to buy another one. With the triple slide I figure it would have almost as much room. The trailer I have now has one big slide.I cant live without my washer/dryer, I have a Splendid that I bought when a got the trailer and love it.I plan on looking at a 30 RSO in the next few days but will have to drive a long way to see it.I am leaning towards a Classic because it is a little lighter......Robert

Robert,

If you're thinking of ordering new, I think we can come up with a solution for adding a washer/dryer in a 30RSO. I'll put more thought into it if you're interested. Feel free to give me a call

Bryan
