In supporting MonacoMama, I am saying goodbye to all of you fine Excel people. I have really enjoyed being with you all here in this forum and wish Happy Trails to you. I can not condone what the management of IRV2 has done to one of the most active and helpful members. MonacoMama has touched so many of us with her helpful spirit and going the extra yardage to find an answer that no one else would do. I have gone through this forum with Chief John and MonacoMama and just chose not to want to see what is in the future anymore. Both Chief and MM have very great people skills and where for the members here at all times. As I was told several times recently, “If you can do me a favor and move forward on this”, I am doing that exactly that and will be more active on the Face Book-Excel by Peterson Industries Owner's Group. I just feel that losing MonacoMama is a very big loss for everyone. Sincerely Book2,
Until we meet again.

Can anyone tell me what the h**l is going on with the MM situation? Is there a thread somewhere that speaks to this? I really want to know. If you don't want to go public, please send me a PM....

You might as well post it in public because I own iRV2 and don't know what's going on. B2RT said "I can not condone what the management of IRV2 has done to one of the most active and helpful members." in his original post but I have no idea what he's talking about. I'd rather all this be out in the open so the members can make up their own mind if this drama is really needed or productive.

MM sent a PM, apparently to various forum participants signing off due to activity behind the scenes within the moderator portion of the community, which incidents she opted not to detail. I miss her already.

That sure is strange, we have not had any discussions in the moderator forum about any of this. If it's true, we will have to create a special memorial for her. She spent so much time and energy helping make iRV2 a better community and we should all be grateful for that. Hopefully she will surface and straiten out the story soon enough and be back to posting like normal.

We have realized tremendous success with the Excel Forum and I sincerely hope it continues to be an active forum within iRV2.com. That said, IMO, iRV2.com needs to seriously review the current 'moderator' lines of administrative responsibility. I disagree with the current roving moderators approach to site administration. Assign a moderator(s) to a forum and allow them to manage the day-to-day moderator duties. We don't need several moderators jumping from forum to forum making decisions on what is appropriate or not -- iRV2.com has forum administrators that have those broad responsibilities. Too many 'eyeballs' peering over the wall does not accomplish anything positive -- more of a negative impact.

I don't know anything about all this moderator stuff, and don't even know who our current moderator is, if it's not MM. But if she chooses not to come back, why not allow ChiefJohn to be our fulltime moderator if he would accept?

He's a great guy, has super interpersonal skills, has owned an Excel, understands the inner workings of our company, and knows those who frequent this forum intimately. (well, not intimately!)

What better choice for a moderator in the Excel forum?

Bryan

Andy - surely this is not satisfactory for a forum or business owner not knowing what is going on when you are loosing your most committed, productive, respected and loved moderator. Isn't this when an owner steps up to the plate and sort out the problem? By sorting out I mean getting MonacoMama back.

I surely hope that this problem is not beyond repair. That would be a crying shame and a great loss for IRV2. I can't picture a better ambassador for IRV2 than MM. Isn't that worth fighting for?

Show me just one member of the Monaco owners group who don't respect MM's dedication and commitment to this forum and I will shut up and never mention this again.

Lord help me!! Bryan, what are you smoking?? I appreciate your confidence, but respectively pull my name from any further consideration on this subject. I'm having too much fun without all the headaches associated with moderating a forum.

Thanks Bryan and if we are in your area we will stop in for a visit. Will be heading to Nebraska and the Dakotas in late June -- meandering around the beautiful USA!!

Ditto for me. I've met MM in person a couple of times. She had us over for her famous Troll Salmon Dinner. We've also talked on the phone many times and think of her as my sister. I've never seen anyone more dedicated and committed to helping folks in my life. Plus she's a hell of a lot of fun! Life too darn short not to have fun. What more could you ask for? I just hope it wasn't something I did or said that got he into all this trouble, as I'd never forgive myself. We love you MM! rockin'

Since I have dual citizenship between Monaco and Excel, (No I am not an illegal alien), I thought I'd post what I posted in Monaco here:

Hard work, dedication, people skills, creativity, excellent computer skills and personal integrity sum up the MM I know. MM, you need to know I appreciate you and wish to thank you for getting me to the right place when my Beaver was misbehaving. You have consistently been there when any member, be it Excel, Monaco or others, had issues with the forum or their rigs. Your personal touch brought a human face to an otherwise perceived rigid format with at times overbearing Administration. Tomorrow is a new day and with it change is inevitable. Perhaps there is a lesson in this for all of us.

I feel it's imparitive to find some way to bring her back. I don't care about the petty bickering or any other reasons this came to be, just get her back where she can do the most good.

"...create a special memorial for her." I don't think Mandy is looking for any special recognition -- the friends she has made on iRV2.com will last her a lifetime.
