I'm getting a draft from the lower right side of my sofa slide. Seals all look good on the outside, but I don't think the inside seal is compressing against the wall on the inside. The slide is fully extended, but it appears the right side isn't going out far enough. Measuring from the outside, the distance between the wall and the edge of the slide is only about 1/8" different, the right side is extended less than the left side.
It appears that there's an adjustment I can make by loosening these two bolts, pushing the right side of the slide out a little further, and then re-tightening the bolts. Does that sound right?

Dont have your coach, and it might be worth a try as long as you dont create a 'bind' by unsquaring the slide.. but, is not the threaded rod the preferred method of adjustment?

Glenn,
I have the same gap on my 2010 Winslow. Snow actually blows in on the floor. I tried the adjustment you show in the second picture and could not close the gap or stop the draft. I am going to take it into RV Sales in Moriarty, NM this spring. You might give Ralph a call at RV Sales - me might have some ideas. As a stop gap solution I put in some thick strip foam insulation purchased at the local hardware store.
Let me know if you come up with any other solutions.

Glenn,
I would have thought that the adjustment you refer to would work to me, but Bill said it didn't work for him.
I would also think that you could bring the outer nut on the ram in a turn or two to make sure the slide is all the way in when the ram is fully retracted. When my sofa slide is in all the way my slide is just slightly counter sunk in from the side of the rig. Let us know what fixes it. We don't have that problem though. rockin'

If it were me, that's a new rig and you're a 35 minute drive from Moriarty. I'd call 1st thing tomorrow and try to get in on Wednesday and let them fix it. That way you can learn exactly what to do and not worry about it. You can also have any other small things fixed, if needed. Or just call Ralph and have him talk you through it.

Thanks for all the input! It's not a serious problem (no snow blowing in!), and I don't want to make matters worse. I'll just give Ralph a call tomorrow. I'll let you know what he recommends.

Considering the age difference between our two units....would assume that the interior and exterior gaskets that seal the slide when it's extended are different.
So don't know I could give advice....but for 1/8" differences, I wouldn't try making an adjustment for such a small difference. On my unit I could have that difference vary every time I extend the slide and where I stopped the extention. Difference in drive systems.
Could you post pictures, for us curious types, what the gaskets that seal the slide look like....from behind the interior flange at goes against the wall...and the outside, from under the unit near the slide floor and corner?

Tried calling Ralph today and learned that he and Kathy shut down for the holidays--good for them, I'm sure they'll enjoy their time away from "the office". Like I said, this isn't a real big deal; I'll just give 'em a call after the first of the year.
Work--Haven't forgot your request; just haven't had time to pull in the slide in order to get pics of the gasket that seals the interior flange against the wall. Basically, it's just a convex piece of rubber that's mounted to the interior flange of the slide, that compresses against the wall of the coach when the slide is extended. I'll try to get some pics before the week's out.

Have a similar problem in the bedroom. I found that the squishy rubber bulb-type seal, against which the slide seals when deployed, has come loose down near the floor. Winter maintenance job is to reattach to the wall.

FYI - page 9 of the manual

Since Lippert in CA fixed slide frame, the slide doesn't go out all the way on the bottom. Waiting for advice from them after hydraulic system repairs.

We have a 2006 36BDE and the two kitchen kitchen slides have slight gaps at the top and on the top of the sides inside. We've had two different RV service companies try to adjust the slides for a tighter fit, but to no success. They don't leak water but we feel a slight air draft. Wondering if adding aftermarket foam to the inside frame of the slides will correct this issue or cause more problems when the slides are extended.
