Air leak under bedroom slide

We have an air leak under the bedroom slide the likes of which any beachfront resort would be envious. PI replaced the exterior seal with the one shown because the original had pulled loose and into the rv. I guess there is supposed to be some type of internal seal which is either missing or damaged on my rig. I haven't torn into it. This is on a list of items to be checked out Sept. 22 in Smith Center. Anyone else having this issue?

I remember you talking about this seal when we met in Death Valley. I looked at mine and sure enough I can see light from the outside when looking at it with the bed lifted up. I just pulled in to Smith Center and have this on my list for tomorrow. I will let you know how they fix it.

John,
I decided to empty the compartment under the bed and see if I could tell any more about my situation. Here is where my problem lies. The first picture is of the air space which runs the bed width and is about 1/8" wide. I stuck a piece of folded legal paper thru the opening and the other two pictures depict each end. I marked both ends of the paper at the rv and there is about 6" of frame, sidewall, etc. thru this gap. Will be interested to find out how this is corrected. Take pictures if you can.

On mine the leak isn't as bad as yours is. Mine just has a leak about 1/16" gap and tapers off to none in the length of 12" starting on the left hand side of the bed compartment.
Here's what they did. My outside seal was pulled in like yours and they replaced that. For the small gap they stapled a 2" wide piece of felt on the inside, same material as inside the compartment, on the top part so it would hang down over the gap. It's not a positive seal but it should help.
