One of our lockable latches no longer locks. Any tricks of the trade to try and repair it before I replace it? Thanks!!! David

I don't know if I can help or not.....but you need to clarify. Does the lock cylinder not turn (lock or unlock) with the key............or will the handle not turn to lock? More description is needed! rockin'

Sorry!!! The lock cylinder doesn't turn with the key so we can lock the latch. Otherwise, it's works fine. David

You can lock them with the handle pushed in or the handle in the out position. Have you tried the out position? Then once it is locked you can push it in.

If your latches are the same as mine...I can insert the key into the slot/tumblers with the key indexed up or down. One way will operate the tumblers and one won't. I like the latch system but it doesn't always prevent one from inserting the key incorrectly. They all have a small, very small symbol, on the latch cylinder that shows the index....but without my glasses sometimes lucky to see the latch. I keep the tumblers and latch barrel lubed with WD-40 and they have been working well.

I use powdered graphite to lube all my locks every six months and they work better than new.

Nothing, yet. Tried lubing the key and twisting plus tried different keys. So far, tumbler doesn't lock. I'll see what the local RV shop can come up with after Turkey Day. David

Davy,

Based on this info....you simply need to replace the T-handle portion of the latch. rockin'

Call Jack or Ralph in the morning. They'll ship you one since you are still under warranty. Simple change out since Rockin can do it.

I left the door open for them and they didn't see it.

I'm not as dum as I look, I just have a hard time proving it.
