In the area where the dump valves are on the side of our rig, it seems to be damp in there most of the time. Since we did have the little blue spray hose hooked up, I thought maybe the handle was bumping up against something and water might be dribbling out so I unhooked it. Still damp....Anyone experience this ? If so, what was it.

Make sure your shower hot & cold taps are closed. Also, look behind the panel where the lines connect and see if there is any evidence of water in that area. We've experienced the same problem and the first time, I had inadvertently left the shower valves open. The second time the shower drain pipe was leaking due to the bottom drain not being tight.

I don't remember who, but someone here had a leak at one of the connections to the water faucet just above the dump valves.

Lindaxtwo,
If you are referring to the utillity center where the outside shower hose is I would check the connections behind that faucet as well, they were hard to reach on our coach but we were able to tighten them enough by hand that we have not had any problems since. Beyond that I guess its hard to say with out looking as water can travel a good bit. If you dont find it yourself I am sure PI will be very accomodating for you to take it to any RV Dealer/RV Tech for assistance wether an Excel dealer or not, at least that has been our experience for PI in that dept.

Would agree with what Chief said about the taps being closed and sprayer leaking. It does seem the area behind the utility center has been discussed before. When you said damp most of the time. How long ago was it first noticed? Is it a "wet" feel or a damp area because it hasn't been able to dry out because the doors seal so tight? Is it damp just in the area of the sprayer or the entire utility area's floor.

Side note: might not be a related to this problem, but after using the utility sprayer and turning off the valves, hold down the sprayer's trigger to release the pressure and discharge the water. If not the water would still under pressure between the taps and sprayer's trigger. These items are normally designed to be in a vertical position, with this sprayer..level at best.

Hope something helped,

Water wets that carpet and spreads. So leaks behind the wall can soak the util area you mention.

You have lots of plumbing converging behind that wall, from the shower as well as tubes down to it that water can run down. Like others I've had several leaks in there, requiring some tightening.

Two weeks ago I learned the hard way to monitor the hose reel to fresh water tank bypass system. After the tank fills up, water starts pouring out of the outside filler tube, soaking that same area. No warning in the manual (hint hint). Get out the hair dryer again!

Get me to the desert pronto, where stuff dries without this major effort in the humid NW!!
