Just found out our work camping gig is coming to an early end (2 weeks instead of 2 months) due to an unstable hillside that the COE is going to get fixed so the park is closing for a couple months. Hadn't planned on moving but now need to find a place. We are thinking of heading to Arizona. Anyone out there staying somewhere they really like that is reasonably priced (<500/mo)? We have had an interesting winter. Had to vacated Zion park just before Christmas due to flooding. I have spent lots of time on Rv park reviews site until they all kind of jumble together. Any suggestions would be welcome.

JanieD,

If you hitch up NOW and keep your foot in it you stand a decent chance to make it here from Eastman Lake before this little get together with the Well Known RockinTom (aka SKIA) breaks up. We'd love to see you here. There's plenty of campsites and the rent is free for 14 days every 12 months.

"Here" is Kofa NWR, with over 1,000 sq. miles of beautiful Sonoran Desert Wilderness. Just south of Quartzsite.

Jim

P.S.: No problem with unstable hillsides here. And, the snakes are all in hibernation for another couple months!

However, the park is just a little higher, i.e. $525/mo I think.

Hi..
Lee and I will be in Goodyear (just west of Phoenix). We are staying at Destiny. I don't know anything about it, but it looks nice. We are flying back east so wanted a place that was gated and looked secure. Let us know where you end up - maybe we can get together.
If you do go to Tucson, Desert Trails is also very nice. Laid back, not fancy, but lots of fun.

Bruce, while we had a great time in Tucson, the entertainment in Palms Canyou is 10 times better with the RockinTom and Still Working "NOT" show in the area.
