Atwood range recall-Limited models mfd. 12/01/06- 05/31/07

Just got a notice from P.I. that there is a recall of Atwood sealed burner ranges installed in Limiteds during this period (Burner Tubes R-A33 and C-A33). Issue could result in carbon monoxide poisoning.
If you're affected but have not received a notice, check with Atwood (800-348-7418) or P.I. ASAP.

Summary: PETERSON IS RECALLING 42 MY 2007-2008 EXCEL LIMITED EDITION FIFTH WHEEL TRAILERS EQUIPPED WITH ATWOOD SEALED BURNER RANGES. THE RANGE AND SLIDE-IN BURNER TUBES LEADING FROM THE GAS MANIFOLD TO THE BURNER HEADS HAD A DEPRESSION OR "KINK"� IN THE EXTERIOR BEND RESTRICTING PROPER AIRFLOW AND GAS MIXTURE.
Consequence: THIS CONDITION COULD RESULT IN CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING.
Remedy: PETERSON IS WORKING WITH ATWOOD TO HAVE THE TUBES REPLACED ON THESE RANGES (PLEASE SEE 07E030). OWNERS MAY CONTACT ATWOOD AT 1-800-348-7418 OR PETERSON AT 1-785-282-6825.

Don't know the exact details of the Atwood units- had called Atwood, and they wanted the serial number, which I didn't have access to at the time. P.I. letter says the ranges were installed in rigs built Dec '06 thru May '07.

Atwood said the kink can result in carbon buildup under the range top and could result in carbon monoxide problem. They said that would only be a concern while the range top is in use, and that there is no danger with the burner(s) off.

I just called Atwood. Right model number, but my serial number did not appear on the list for recall.
