awning drop shade
Do any of you use this: 15' Burgundy RV Awning Shade Drop! Shade area under awning! | eBay
on your Excel electric (not a automatic wind sensor) awning.
It states that it is for a manual awning?

I made my own using sun shade fabric of different shade levels. You can get it online or in Lowes/Home Depot/Menards, etc.. We ordered about 7 yards -15 foot width online so I could make a shade for the back patio. Used the rest for the RV when the sun is setting on the awning side it works great!

Jim, I think you can use it on yours. Just turn off the electric feature while useing it. I bought one back in 2004 and have only used it a couple of times since I don't spend much time near the Wild Cargo when we are out. It will make a difference on the the way the sun beats done on you when you come down to the Bluegrass Fest this month. You can also use it to help hold your awning in place if the wind does come up as you know how it does in our area.
I may slip up to Colby as we are thinking about putting one together at Lake Scott State Park. I need to see one from behind the stage to get a better feel for what needs to be done to put one together.

I use one close to that on mine,I make sure to turn off the auto feature so it will not roll up into the awning if it gets windy. same thing for the lights hanging from the awning. Mine helps keep the sun off ,if it only helped with bugs

Hey red!
My suggestion is the same as stills.....disable the electric on the awning when you use the shade. Didn't know they had electric awning wayback in 2010!!! Gotta run! rockin'
