Hello I was wondering if anyone could help with a question I have.I am in the market for a new haul truck and thinking about a M2 106 frightliner, with a Cummins 330 HP 1000 ft lbs of torque, the weight I will pull is in the range of 14000 lbs. + to 18000 lbs.+ I run around 60 to 65 miles per hr. 80% flat & hills, 20% mountains, the tires are mounted on 22.5 rims not sure what height the tires are what I am looking for is the best fuel mileage possible what I don't know is what axle ratio to get, I don't need to pull the unit up a 90 degree side of a mountain.thankyou for your input.

Diesel Guy, you could always call or email Freightliner or do a search here on IRV2 for members who own one and PM them with your questions. Good Luck!

You might also look here, Escapees Discussion Forum -> MDT There are plenty of people with MDT experience giving their opinions. If $$$ come into the equation at all, IMHO a HDT deserves a real close look. Our whole setup was way less than a MDT. Good luck in your search.
