It's OK. Dexter manual and Dexter folks say some weeping is OK and normal, especially on new units. We've had little grease streaks on our aluminum wheels inbetween washings. rockin'

Thanks Tom. I did get documentation from Dexter and it did mention, as you said, that some weeping is normal. I'll keep an eye on it.

New spring, new plate and new shock. We're back to full strength!

Rob talked with Dexter and they said it probably would hurt anything, but out of customer satisfaction sent him a fresh one. Dexter is pricey stuff, but they have a pretty good record of handling their customers. Just my experience. rockin'

Tom, I use a bottle jack to support the rear axle and a floor jack on the axle with the replaced spring.

That's what I did Russel until the new spring arrived. I couldn't see anything physically wrong with the springs, but since Dexter was kind enough to send me a new one, I went ahead and replaced it. I'll keep the old spring as a spare.
I must say that Dexter is leaps-n-bounds ahead of Lippert when it comes to customer service.

Dexter is now owned by Lippert? At least that's what I heard.
