Just wondering what's this little valve's name and function? Located under the bathroom sink vanity. I don't see it in the owner's manual. Inquiring minds wants to know! Thanks, Chickenman Tom
P.S. I'm keeping a close watch on Pete and Duana to make sure they represent the company well while they are down here in the Valley!

Tom,
I think this is the same type of valve that we are discussing in the other thread. It is a vaccum breaker valve from your outside black tank flush hookup to the sprayer in you black tank. Here is an example of how they work. Vaccum Breaker This prevents backflow from your black tank to the fresh water side of the system thus preventing contamination of the fresh side.
This is my guess.

It sure looks like the vacuum break for the black water tank rinse.

Virg,
Your the only reason I would come down to the Keys and spend a fortune on a site.....just to meet you in person!!!!
P.S. I'd like to see you on the roof of your rig too!! What a sight that would be!

I agree...it's the vacuum breaker for the black tank flush system that's being discussed in the other thread. Although on newer rigs, it's brass-colored with a silver cap.

Tom, everyone is being so kind, but you don't fool us. Virgil tried to give you a hint. Looks like a device against a leg that is used for someone who has found a way to receive his MD 20/20 (Medical Doctor prescribed for 20/20 vision results). Remember, prof, you created me to think outside the box.
But to be sure since all I know is what I don't know, , here I go again, After wearing out the back of my clothes from your "underneath finds", looks like I will have to start going under sinks. What a teacher!!!!!(maybe Linda can give you some suggestions since she is TRAINED as a teacher Linda?)
Is it ever going to be graduation day?
Your friendly student, Maverik

Rick,
The black pipe/unit on the right is an ANTI-SIPHON device. I and others have these devices under the kitchen and vanity counters. They are connected to the waste lines and provide venting for the sinks. Acts in the same manner as a through the roof vent.
The VACUUM BREAKER on the left, would agree with others is for the flush system. I didn't see one earlier in my unit, will have to look closer. This might not be the unit installed, just for info/example.
Here is a copy of the information provided in my 2001 owners manual on the Flush System:
Hope something helped.
Chris

Yes, everyone is correct. We put it under the vanity because it is required to be above flod stage (the height of the toilet). It also needs to be in a location that it can be replaced. I've been reading the threads about it being installed at a slant and have instructed my line supervisor to pay more attention to getting them verticle and more professional looking.
Thanks for everyone's input. The weather is incredible here in Louisiana.
Bryan
