Have 4 speakers mounted in the ceiling and 2 are not working. Verified by swapping the connections with the working speakers. The speaker covers do not have any visible screws or mounting. Any idea how these come off?

My speakers have a screw in each corner...would guess they are either slip on and held by compression/fit or would require a slight twist to take off. Don't know...only a guess.

With two speakers bad...would guess that there might be another problem besides the speakers? Know you swapped the wires to varify...if all looks good behind the receiver or at connection...another speaker in its place is the next way to rule out the wiring or connection.

Just paid Comcast to connect my DVD/VCR recorder to their NEW set top box as I couldn't figure it out....so what do I know? But after 2 hours with them....it still doesn't work...there is hope yet.

Yort, in my previous Excel I installed surround sound and mounted three of the speakers on the frame of the slide out. I also purchased some wireless speakers to put in the slide out I was sitting in. It didn't look that bad and sounded much better then the factory speakers.

These speaker covers are rectangular with 'bumps' where screws may be hidden. The 'bumps' to not appear to be removable so my guess is the entire covers pops off. I was hoping someone here had removed already which may prevent me from damaging.
I am going to try to pop them off and will update with the results.

Troy...the speaker covers on my unit are rectangular also. The one in the bedroom that I looked at yesterday has a two speaker look....they have the bumps in the corners and mine came off. I can post a picture if you like.

The speaker covers should just "pop" off. The are snap fit on to a mounting frame. Just get your fingers around the edges and pull them off.

Pictures of my speaker cover and with the tab removed. Sorry about the quality...Was able to remove one with a finger nail...other required a sharp knife, just to get in the space to pry off.

Great pictures! I was trying to pop the entire cover off before removing the 'buttons'. Thank you!
