Bruce,
If you wanted to drive a little further (About 200 miles) you could get to Chatfield State Park, south of Denver.
They have full hookups and 50 amp service. We stay there about twice a year.
Then you could take E-470 and loop around the southern edge of Denver and pop out on I-70 and miss the traffic.
Then take I-70 to Byers and get on Hwy 36 to Bonny Lake State Park.
You could stay at Bonny Lake State Park (165 miles from Denver via Hwy 36) in Idalia, Colorado.
They have 30/50 amp electric hookups and water available, but no full hookups, just a dump station.
Then you could go to Prairie Dog State Park in Norton, KS, 125 miles from Bonny Lake.
Prairie Dog has Electric and water sites and dump station, it is 65 miles to Smith Center.
Both these campgrounds on just off Hwy 36.
