I plunge our toilet about twice each week. Toilet paper clogs up the opening. Today I looked down the toilet and saw this.
Looks like some kinda crossbar in the 45 degree elbow that the paper might catch on. Is this common? Or some kinda fecal plot to drive me crazy? No comments, Rockin!

We have a 04 33RSE with the same plumbing and have no problems. Knock on wood. I can't tell what you mean by a crossbar. I suggest you try running a snake down the plumbing to insure the line is clear.

Bruce,
May try to take another pic....I can't tell what going on by the pic. Is this pic with the ball half open? Which model toilet do you have?
One rule of thumb is to use less paper and more water than you think. On poo after you start the flushing process (start to fill for a few seconds) and then open all the way then count to 6 before releasing. I think this helps with the dreaded "piling" dilemma. I know you don't want to hear this since your boondocking. We haven't had a problem since the first week of FTing and learn this technique.
No silly comments until you get your problem fixed. But just you wait...they'll be good! I promise! Keep us up to date!

Bruce,
Is this possibly excessive PVC glue on the inside of the pipe? Looks like the nipple may not be be seated at the bottom of the 22.5 bend leaving a gap for waste to collect on. Might be able to use abrasive cloth and smooth the joint a bit.
Good luck!

Sure looks like a blocker-upper to me. When I look at your pic, I can clearly see that white 'crossbar' thing inside the black pvc pipe. What da heck is it??? Can you put on a glove and try pulling the white crossbar up & out? (It might somehow be part of the ball valve 'linkage'?)
When I look back at your other pic showing the black pvc pipe coming down, what is that little black round screw-thing up near the wood ceiling on the right side of the pipe?

It looks like yellow adhesive at the joint between the elbow and the nipple with 2 strings of adhesive running down the inside of the nipple.

Whatever that is it ain't normal. Water Closet Drains have to be free and clear of all obstructions otherwise you will have clogging problems like you are experiencing. As for what that is I can't make it out. Like mentioned before it looks as if it has yellow ABS glue on it which will make it difficult to remove by tugging on it. I'd be looking at all angles to try to get this thing out of the drainage system otherwise your problem will persist. By the pic it's hard to determine the depth of this item. Have you removed the toilet and looked at it that way? It's easy to remove and replace so try that and see if it's actually in the drain pipe or the toilet. Very Interesting.

I vote for the plot!
I copied the photos and looked at them in my photo software....because of the file size iRV2 restricts us to use____it was hard to cleanup and enlarge to get a better view without making it to grain-ie to see.
But would agree with others that a yellow glue was used. You can see it on the inside and outside of the pipe in both photos. The two fingers are runs in the glue. Alot of times folks will use a different color PVC cleaner and glue to make sure there was good coverage of both before applying and after.
Can't say what the crossbar thing your talking about. Trying to enlarge the photo doesn't work because of the grain-ie-ness. From looking at the photo of the basement, it looks and might be a illusion from the photo, but appears the main pipe is 4" and is reduced down to 3" where the toilet connects. Might be all 4" and the angle makes it look that way. Just looked at mine and is is all 4". The crossbar thing might ??? be an illusion thing also. Excessive glue sitting on top of the nipple (cut end of short pipe) inside the fitting. Sometimes when gluing up large or sometimes small diameter pipe, the glue will sit up quickly (temperature - humidity) and some of the glue can get pushed up the pipe as it is being fitted. This 'crossbar' look might be that excess glue.
I don't think from what I'm able to see from here that this would cause a major problem. Would agree with 'SirKnowItAllAboutWaterUse' that more water should cure this.
Then again, could be that plot!

I can just see the prim and proper Ms. Jenna using potty on this deal! NOT...but ol' Bruce would still hit the toilet seat with his poor aim!!

OK, the most non-fixit guy will ask the most obvious question. Why not tak a broom handle (or keyhole saw) and remove the glue?

Will Virg I'm proud of your idea.
I was wondering if it might not be some type of rubber plug with a handle/strap that got pushed into the pipe and got stuck. If so then it would need to pulled out. A heavy rod bent with a hook on the end should do the trick.
To bad there can't be a better picture but I know how that works also.
