We just removed and re-installed ours when we replaced the carpet and it was a real bear. That thing must weigh 200 lbs if it weighs an ounce. Actually that's the second time. When we were in SC last year for major work, we bought another one for the house & hauled it back strapped on top of the original sofa. It's much easier if you remove the back otherwise you need to strap it down to keep it from folding out when you tip the sofa to get it out the door. There are 5 screws holding the sofa in place. Three on the floor across the back and two holding the drawer slide frame in place. Get a rug under it to slide it to and out the door. GOOD LUCK!
