Anyone here have experience owning and/or towing with a Curt hitch? Specifically the Q5 20k model?

Yes I have that exact hitch. Have been pulling with it for 4 years now and it is trouble free. You need to do a quick take apart about every 6 months and manually grease the points where the legs sit on the rails and where the big round bar sits in it's holder. That is in addition to the 3 grease fittings. If you do that little extra it is a very quite hitch. It also is good at absorbing road shock. Have any more question just ask.
