The Glide Ride simply takes out a lot of the normal chucking that you feel on rougher roads and road breaks that jerk you in the truck. Makes the ride much nicer and has gotta be better long term on the truck and trailer. To me and DW it was well worth the bucks. Tom

Ditto Tom's comments............we love ours and highly recommend it. There is no maintenance, once you have it installed just enjoy it's performance. If you want to see how it works go to Demco's www site Demco
and watch the video.

As most of you know, the first Glide-Ride pinboxes had a recall on them. I hope you have had the modification done. If not, contact our factory and we will help you get it taken care of. We have had a very positive response to the pinbox and we have them installed on our demonstrator units. We have a saying at the factory about the Glide-ride for all you ladys. "You can't divorce your husband but with the Glide-ride pinbox, at least you can take the jerk out of the trailer."

Are you sure that 7/8" is the size socket that we would need on the pin box ? I bought a 7/8" socket for the wheel lug nuts and it is close but not quite...? Was hoping it would be the same socket.

Linda,
The lugs on the truck and trailer are the same....7/8. I think the Demco Glide Ride pin assemblies are 3/4. Is that what you're referring to? Tom

I just had dealer install the recall plates on my Demco and when I left the lot I noticed a jerk that wasnt normal but never really looked at it. Drove about two miles and then unhooked to take care of other business then re hooked and when I pulled out I heard a clunck and felt a pretty good jerk so started watching pin box and the whole bottom plate under pin box the part king pin is on now flops front to back about 4 inches to the front or back with no cushion either way. It did not do this before replacement and dealer thinks the replacement parts are to small of diameter but cant look at it untill Wednesday. I really dont think that is it and would like any suggestions or thoughts on what may have went wrong and what to do to fix as we have our big trip of the year comming up in a week and a half and do not think it would be safe to even travel like this??
Thanks

Paul,
Take a look up inbetween the plate and the pinbox and look at the pendulum arms.....I'll bet they missed getting it into the plate pin hole. Not good. If that's the problem it is no problem to take off the plate and reinstall correctly. Torque to 85 lbs. Kinda common sense procedure. Take off only one side at a time. Only takes 5 minutes to do. HTHs Tom

Tom,
I think and Demco thinks the tolerances may be off on the new pins into the linkage and they sent me a new set that I just got yesterday and will put in soon as we are going on a 3 week trip out west next week and are hopefull all will work well on our rig.
Thanks.
