Looks cool but is spendy. I was thinking for the extra money how many times can I drop the trailer and fetch it after I am setup. Even at 10 mpg that is a lot of times. Plus it is very small, but you could get a smoker on it.

Yes. This hitch is rated for 400# down weight. Since a trailer should have 10% of it's weight on the ball, that translates to a 4,000# trailer.
