Hello all.

We just returned from plant vacation so this morning we were discussing the issue of having drawers working out during travel, especially behind a slide room. then when you run the room out, it ruins the drawers and perhaps the slide flange.

This problem is particularly common in the TKE and MKE/MKO floorplans.

Vaughn discovered this morning that if you will take a pair of pliars and pinch the end of the drawer guide just a LITTLE bit, less that 1/16" that the guide will fit tighter over the rubber end and help hold the drawer in place during travel.

Be careful not to squeeze the ends too tightly. This might take a bit of trial and error but it is something that we will begin paying attention to during the build process.

Of course, this only works on the ball bearing roller guides, which is essentially the only place we have had a problem.

We appologize for any inconvenience this issue may have caused. This is a short fix that you can do in your leisure time.

Thank you
Bryan

Thanks for the post Bryan and a special thanks to Vaughn for his 'self-help' fixit solution! Careful, if Vaughn keeps this up, we'll be calling him 'WorkShopSr'!!

On edit, I've linked this topic to the "TT & 5th Wheel - Problems, Solutions & After Market" Forum as I'm sure other owners have experienced the same problem and this 'fix' might be applicable.

If you have an RT or Classic, a spring loaded latch of some kind should be added though.

Just FYI...IIRC this applies to later (2007? and newer) models (Limited) with ball bearing rollers, not to us with the older units. rockin'
