Well, here I go again This is not Excel specific so might be wrong to post.
What do you Excel owners use for emergency roadside service ?
Triple A, good sam, or coach-net I now have triple A but reading the other forums, sounds like there may be a better choice.
me if I was wrong to post this.

We have National Interstate Insurance through Poliseek and it comes with Coach-Net level silver by default now, an upgrade from the lessor known Continental Car Club roadside service they used to supply.

I think everyone remembers my experience with Good Sam (IIRC-Coach Net). I now use my RV insurance carrier Progresive....and never had to use either one for ERS. Tried to use my trip interruption portion of the Good Sam plan. Long story short...They had me send in a 1 page claim form...then turn it down based on no police report which was not requested on the claim form. Supplied. Then they turn me down as more additional info needed (I forgot what it was). Supplied. Then turned me down because the vehicle I hit "didn't have an occupant in it as it was parked". They will simply keep wearing you down until one gives up. I finally did as I was only requesting reimbursement of $550. for hotel room and meal fees. The wore me down and I will not use them again. I know alot of folks that had wonderful service on the ERS portion, but not talked with anyone who's tried to use the trip interruption aspect of the plan. Anyone? rockin'

What I wanted to know from SKIA was what (IIRC-Coach Net) means? What does the IIRC mean? Is that something to do with Coach-Net?

We have purchased Good Sam ERS for 12 years to date. We have used them two times. Do not expect any more than what the operators you talk to can read from the computer screen in front of them. Keep it simple and easy for the operator to understand, they ask questions from a computer screen list, and deviation just confuses them.
Our last call to them I requested an authorized Duramax shop because I had diesel fuel in the crankcase. I was told to find a phone book.
On a 1-5 scale I rate them a 3+, but then I haven't used any other ERS service.

Padutchmnm- Allstate have left me setting alongside the interstate in TX with two blown tires. After half an hour on the phone conversing with them, they finally told me that they did not have any contractors for that area fo TX and would it be ok for some one to contact me the next morning. A call I never recieved of course. Called GS and enrolled with them and they have always been right there when I needed them. Allstate auto insurance hassled me a number of years ago also when one of their insured T-boned my auto. I was also an Allstate policy holder. Had to get a attorney to get my auto repaired even tho was not at fault.

We're going to give Coach Net a go. Haven't had any real issues with Good Sam ERS, but we haven't needed it in a few years, either. (I quit listening to the guys who write for Good Sam Highways and began changing the trailer tires more often than they recommended!) David
