Our current Excel Family Map at BuddyMapping.com is not user friendly and is difficult to access at times. I've found another application that I think is much more robust and would appreciate your feedback. Click on the red icon and my information will pop-up with provides weather at the location, image if you want, and driving directions. By clicking on the "+" button in the left corner, you can focus down to street level.

I've entered my information as an example. You're welcome to add your information to help me test the application.
- Click on the "Contribute to This Map" above the map selection tool bar.
- Start by adding your location (example of input below the "Search" button, then click the "Search" button.
- Your location will be flagged and another window will open -- add your information and "Save".
Thanks,
John

John, before I put our location in, is this a map where can can change our location as we travel? That was the problem with the other map...there was no way to change a location without emailing you and having you do it. That's a real PITA for you when we're moving every few days!

Linda,
As far as I know, you can change your location anytime AND can use GPS coordinates. This is our test map, enter your location then go back and change it and let me know.
John

Linda,
I was mistaken on the GPS coordinates -- these can be used, in a bulk upload file that I would have to do.

I wanted to change the name and now I can't figure out how to delete the first entry?

Okay folks, I'm striking out on this map initiative -- I tried logging in as a "John Doe" versus the administrator/owner of the map. Unfortunately, we have a problem with changing locations and it appears that a "user" cannot perform this function. I'll get back tomorrow with more info.
John

Thanks DavidMc, our test application was a bust! I've deleted the test map and will continue to explore other options.

What we need is something like the Datastorm Users map. That map allows people to change their location as they travel (see link to our location in my signature).
The Excel Family Locations map that we've been using is OK for people who live in sticks and bricks, but doesn't lend itself to fulltimers whose location changes from time to time, particularly since we can't change our location ourselves.
