Patty and I got to meet Russ and Pat Peterson (No relation) at the Chatfield Reservoir State park in Littleton Colorado.

Great couple and we have a few friends in common, no not you Rockin.

They are work camping and love it, if you are in the area they are in Loop D where most of the big rigs go.

Well we finally saw another Excel. It was a 02/03 Classic, couldn't see the model #. Appeared to be a permanent parked unit at Brookside RV in Pigeon Forge, TN. No one home. We looked all over the area and it seems we are the only other Excel in this area.

Ran into more Excelers this evening in the extended stay portion of our park here at Creekside RV in Pigeon Forge, TN. A '99 35ft. limited SKO. I met Owen and Jan who have been FTing since 2000 in this rig. WOW. The are working locally here in PF. What nice forks with a very nice rig. We are having them over for happy hour tomorrow afternoon/evening. Actually we're also having Ron, Donna, and their granddaughter over too (07 33 RKO). Seven folks in all! It ought to be fun! Guess I should add a bit more beer to the cooler! Social butterfly...I can just here it now!

'Social Butterfly', or, our roving 'Excel Ambassador', you do an outstanding job of meeting and greeting fellow Excel owners and spreading the word about our forum. My personal thanks to you buddy! Tom was #5 in the number of posts on iRV2.com for May 2008 with 133! Congrats Rockin!

Since we bought our Excel, the only ones we have seen were on the dealer's lot & one that belongs to a friend of ours down the street. We have been around Texas & to Florida & back without a single sighting.

If you should happen to see us on the road, you will know us by the black trim we had changed out on the front door window. The original white was turning sort of yellowish and the dealer recommended we let him change it to black.

It amazes us that we have not been able to see another Excel in a campground or meet one on the road.

bbry,

You just gotta keep a eye out for these things. We had 2 Excelers over for happy hour this afternoon/evening. Just watch the RV internet sites, walk around and be a little snoopy. Chat up folks, pretty soon, theres more than you can handle!! What fun! Tom

Someone towing an Excel pulled into our Yellowstone CG last night. We'll try to find 'em tonight or tomorrow. Inquiring minds....

We just made it in to the Nashville Country RV Park. Guess what? An early '05 35 FLR just like ours except it is a early model with first design compartment doors and electrical connection at the rear. Looks very permanent. Looks like a unit that was pulled to the site and setup, not much road time. No one home, I'll keep trying.

Update 6/16: Finally found someone home but they weren't interested in talking to me about their Excel. They musta known me from somewhere.....maybe they read this forum!!! Oh well...

We saw an older Excel going south on Loop 465 in Indianapolis on 6/17 near I-65 just before noon. Towed by a white Ford with accent stripes.
