I finally saw my first Excel on the highway. It was at the 810 mile marker on Interstate 10 at FM 563 about halfway between Beaumont & Houston, TX.

Was it anyone from this group?

Located a very old Excel in the Edge O Dells RV Resort at the Wisconsin Dells, WI. Looks like a mid 80's 35 ft. Classic, 2 slide . Setup as a permanent and had been there awhile, clean though. No one home. Tom

Wasn't us, but we'll be there 31st of July on our way to Coochata w/ group of 6 rvers for the weekend. We're the only Excel owners though.

Saw another Excel headed west on I 10 just east of Baytown, TX. I'm sure they will remember that area as there was a truck on fire that burned for about an hour. We were 2 cars behind the accident & these people were a long way behind us so I'm sure they were very tired of waiting as well.

Just wondered if it could have been any of our members?

A '97 27ft single parlor slide Excel just pulled in to the park. In talking with the owners they had the unit since new and take small trips close to home, here in Minnesota near Duluth. The unit stays under a covered shed and looks brand new. Marvin and Verna have been to 3 or 4 Excel reunions. Nice Excel folks.

We are in the Spirit Lake Casino RV Park in Devil Lake, ND. There is an older (96-97) Excel Classic about 35ft. It looks like a permanent fixture here. No one home, but will keep checking!

We saw 2 Excel's heading North on I-35 in Iowa north of Des Moines today. We're staying at Cutty's Des Moines Camping Club in Grimes, IA. There are 3 here that we've seen so far. Have not been able to connect yet. It looks as though 2 are here permanently.

Tim,
You should have just driven a few more miles to Guthrie Center, IA and stayed at Tom's (wrongway) place! Just pull in the concrete drive and plug in. Don't look for any big night life in GC....The hiway is quiet as church mouse after 8:00PM... but Tom does gets a little grouchy after you've been there a week! Nice folks in GC, IA! Mighty nice.

He probably would help out by freshin' up your old rig with new one, could get you in just under the wire for the $2,000. rebate!!!

We are in Red Trails Campground in Medora, ND and yesterday a 97 Excel Legacy pulled in. I introduced myself. Dale is new to Excel as he recently purchased. He is internet active, so I gave him our site address and a happy invitation. Hope we see him in here to join in our family fun.

Since we bought our Excel, the only ones we have seen were on the dealer's lot & one that belongs to a friend of ours down the street. We have been around Texas & to Florida & back without a single sighting.
I have to agree, we've been to TX and TN this year and we've seen 2 Excels on the road. The last time was middle of July on a weekend northbound on I-65 north of L'ville. My wife said "there's the other one". I had to laugh.

We finaly saw our first Excel on our three week RV Trip of almost 4,000 mile trip. On Saturday August 16th at 12:00 noon at Doolitle rest area in Newburg, MO., mile marker 176 on West bound I-44. It looked like a new Excel rig, pulled by a white pick up. We had already past the rest stop when we saw it, otherwise we would have pulled in to meet the folks.

17 August 2008 Greenville, Texas Walmart parking lot. 36 TKE pulled by a white F-350. The coach was hitched to the truck, but the super slide was deployed. Didn't see anyone around. Not sure of the model year, but it was newer than 05.
