On Monday I was at Triam in Ocala and met fellow Excel owner Gaylord Sharp. We had a nice 30 minute conversation and exchanged email addresses. Nice to meet my second Excel owner in person!

We have been seeing Excels everywhere. One at Oasis RV Park in Amarillo, Tx on 5/23. Next one was southbound on I-25 south of Pueblo on 5/24. Next one was southbound on I-25 in Denver on 5/26. The last one is today, 5/26 at the KOA in Rock Springs, Wy. They are everywhere.

How was Rock Springs KOA? It's on our itinerary on our way back from West Yellowstone. David

I saw an Excel on I80 today on the Nebraska-Wyoming border. I don’t know the year and model but it was sure nice and shiny!

We met some folks from Sioux City, IA with a '90 Excel fiver at a pulloff on the Alaska Highway just south of Watson Lake, YT two days ago. It looked to be about 30' and in pretty decent shape. They've had it 2 years and seem pretty happy about it. In fact, they also own an '07 SOB II from Chanute, KS and feel the Excel will stand up to the Alaska trip best. They're thinking about trading in the 2 units on a new Excel.

Tommy,

Are you stopping and talking with a few of these folks? We found 99% of them to be great folks and some we stay in touch with year round. Most have turned into lifelong friends. Other just put up with me for a short time!!! (til they run of of fine wine) rockin'

I've tried to catch with you....but you get word and get out of there before I can catch ya!!

It was pouring down rain in Amarillo when we arrived, and the other Excel left before we got up the next day. The folks in Rock Springs are there for a while and were away working. The only other Excel that I have been able to talk to when I found them in our travels is the Caretakers at the Bottomless Lakes State Park outside of Roswell, New Mexico. You are absolutely correct, 99% of Excel owners are great people. We are members of 3 clubs, New Mexico, Texas, and Colorado and they are full of super people.( that even includes Larry Godby)

I seen a 2000 Excel on Highway 9 in Iowa last night. The ironic part of this was it was in Forrest City very close to that Winnebago factory! I waved but with no rig behind me the weren’t looking. Looked like they where headed to the lake for some of that Rving fun!!!!
