Brian, "bsc58", has a great suggestion for a "Featured Topic", "Excel Fiver Sightings". Post your sightings of other Excel's observed during your travels. If possible, note the time, place or direction of travel (including highway), tow vehicle, etc. Post your sightings to this thread. Thanks! Brian!
I've un-featured the Excel Club News and The New Mexico Spring... topics. These topics have not been deleted and can be found utilizing the "Find" feature on the menu bar.

There should be several sightings this weekend (May 18th through May 20th) as the Nebraska Excel Club is having their "Spring Fling" at Hastings, NE.
Look for us or stop and say Howdy.

I saw someone pulling a 35 or 36 limited with a white freightliner on I90 westbound on 5/1. He was coming down the last mountain pass in Montana before entering Idaho.
Nice setup with a couple of bicycles mounted on the rear of the trailer.
I also had a cool experince on our trip "home" with our new Excel. We picked up our rig in Kansas just before Thanksgiving, using the days off from work to get the rig back to NJ. We saw another Excel on route 44 in Missouri. We flashed headlights at each other. It reminded my of days back in the 60's or early 70's when sports cars used to flash headlights!
I don't remember the tow vehicle of the other couple, but the light flashing experince made me fell great about owning an Excel, and seeing other "family" members!

It's not us. We are done camping for this year. A good friend of mine lost her house in the Greensberg, Kansas Tornado and I am letting her and her husband live in it until they rebuild.
Only got to use it for the Kansas Spring Campout. But me and Billie do feel they need it worse than us.

We seen a Knoble Esquire Tripple Slide parked at the New Town Marina RV park on the Missouri River Lake Sakakawea. Dont see many here in ND so we even got a bit excited had to swing in for a better look and was tempted to stop but did not see anyone outside so thought better of that.
Have Fun!

On our way home from Texas Boomers Mem Day Rally, we were going through Sweeney, TX. A new Dodge towing a new 35-36 ft Excel had pulled into a drive way to take an apparent break from a driving rain storm. Seeney is a very small town of maybe 1500 pop. and off the main roads. We are everywhere!!!

We are in Bedford, PA at the Friendship Village Campgrounds (very nice) and in the new section is a 03/04 PKE 35 ft. Limited. Nice unit, looks like it make be a weekend retreat as it looks like new and appears to be low mileage. It is on a large concrete slab, with all the gear on the patio, but no one home. A neighbor said the folks just come out only on certain weekends. Anyone know who this one belongs to? Tom

Tom,
Welcome to PA. I agree with you about Friendship Village. We met that Excel owner a couple of years ago. If he is around he will look you up. If you have time take the covered bridge driving tour, also go check out Gravity Hill. The buffalo bugers and the French onion soup are great at the Jean Bonnet Tavern.

As we were having lunch at the Denny's in Santa Rose, NM, on Sunday, June 3, we saw an older "Legacy by Excel" leaving the parking lot. I have no idea how old the fifth wheel was, but it had the old aluminum "wavy" siding. I don't suppose it belongs to anyone here?

We seen another Knoble Esquire guessing early to mid 80s single slide with a large emblem of a sheild on the front on 06/02 set up at Woodland Resort Devils Lake ND. There was a campfire burning outside but know one to be seen and no TV around either so we did not stop.
We were at Grahms Island State Park Devils Lake and could hardly even drink a cup of coffee with out having to reel in another walleye. Life sure is tough these days
